CAPACITY Up to 30 youth LOCATION Gym / large indoor space CORE DAY 3 hours instruction PROGRAM OVERVIEW ***A safe, team-based introduction to unmanned aircraft systems. Youth identify drone components, complete preflight inspections, practice controlled indoor flight, program basic movements, use supported sensors, evaluate flight data, and improve mission reliability. The week concludes with a supervised indoor drone rescue mission and team showcase. SESSION OPTIONS • Ages 8–12: morning session, up to 4 hours • Ages 13–18: afternoon session, up to 4 hours • Combined ages 8–18: morning session, up to 5 hours
CORE LEARNING OUTCOMES • Complete preflight inspections and use safe flight procedures • Control takeoff, hover, movement, turns, and landing • Program flight sequences and use supported sensors • Plan missions, analyze data, troubleshoot, and improve reliability
